I'm totin my horn. Yes I said totin.

Ok, I know you are prolly thinking that this must be Jill's craft blog, but it's not. I got a sewing machine for Christmas and Jenne showed me how to made a tote bag. The pink one if for Britt and the little one is for my scriptues. Britt thinks the scripture bag looks like an old lady bag, but I like it. Halloween a little late.

We had fun at the trunk-r-treat.

Aren't we cute? I try and I try to get Harry to
dress up, and he finally did. Like his new hair cut?

This is a pumkin patch out near Smith Rock.

Sunday Drive

After church today we went for a drive up the mountian. We went to Sisters about 20 miles west then headed south about 10 miles to see if we could see the mountians a bit better. There was snow and Harry had to put the truck into 4 wheel drive. We found a pretty lake and got a few good shots of some of the Sisters and Mt. Jefferson. I don't think we will ever get tired of looking out at this site.

Harry has a really long arm.

Beautiful Mt. Jefferson

We think this is part of the Sisters.

Jill's Picture Project.

Ok here is my attemp at making the cute frames that my Mom and Jenne made.

Day Trip to see more views.

We left pretty early yesterday to head to Portland. I am starting a part time job this Friday working at Costco. I will be working in the Borghese area sampling the cosmetics and sharing product knowledge. So we went to Portland to visit a Costco so I could see how the area is set up and to find out where the samples are. I will be working in Bend and there is nobody at that Costco that is doing it now so we had to drive to see a Borghese area in action.

So on the way to Portland we stopped to see Mt. Hood. It was cloudy when we got up there so all the photos are from a distance on our way home.

After visiting Costco we drove to Multnomah Falls and walked to the top of the falls. It was only a 2 mile round trip hike but Harry is felling it today. His calves are really sore. I did pretty good but was dripping wet by the time we got to the top.

Ok Harry wanted me to put a pic of me on here so here I am wearing Harry's new turn out gear.

Britts in Oregon to Visit.... Woooohoooo

I drove to Portland on Wed to pick up Brittany and Mike from the airport. It was a pretty fast drive only took about 3.5 hrs. From the airport we went to the Coast about 1.5 hrs from Portland. Oh man that day the coast was beautiful. Cold but pretty. We had fun looking for shells and getting our feet wet. Friday we went to the Lava cave again. We took lots of pictures inside the cave. Saturday we drove to Crater Lake and that view will never get boring. We drove all the way around the rim and saw the lake from all different angles. It was still breath taking. Here are few photos from our visit so far.

Views that WOWed me.

Well Kelcey is headed back to Missouri on Tues. so there was one more place that we really wanted to see before she left. We went to Crater Lake, just 2 hrs south of Bend. It is the deepest lake in the USA and probably the most beautiful view I have ever seen, it was breath taking.

The lake is at the top of a volcano and it is almost 2000 feet deep. There is only one way to climb down but it is very steep and when you get down if you want to swim they say that you will only last in the water for a few seconds, the water is freezing. It is the bluest blue I have ever seen.

At the top of the crater there was still snow, I'm not sure if it all melts before it snows again. Harry and Kelcey were able to have a snowball fight at the end of June.

First few weeks in Oregon...

Oh man we love it here, It is so pretty. We have spent some time hiking and looking around some of the state parks in the area and enjoying every minute of it. Yesterday we went to a lava cave about 30 miles from Redmond. You walk under ground about a mile in the pitch black you have to take lanterns or flash lights. It was very cold and wet and took about 1.5 hrs to get to the end of the cave and back out again. I have found my favorite hiking place already, it is called Smith Rock and it is about 5 miles North of Redmond. Here are a few pics from our last hike.

Harry is loving his job so far. He has traveled around to several fire stations this past week to meet the people that he will be working with. He gets a Ford F350 pickup truck at the end of next week provided by the State. He is in hog heaven and 100% in his element. I know he will do an outstanding job in this new position.

Kelcey and I spend a better part of last week in Spokane visiting with my parents. Spent a few days out at the cabin and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I helped my Dad put the railing back on the deck at the cabin.

We made it to Oregon... Wooo Hoooo

Well after a long wait and a long drive we made it to Or. We got here a week ago and got moved in and we are pretty much trying to settle down and get familiar with the area. Harry starts his new job on Monday and is getting excited to get it going. We spent one day on the coast and saw a seal cave. It was cool. We have been hiking a couple of times and our goal is to get some weight off over the next month. Kelcey is trying to get into better habbits before she leaves to go back home. Here are a few pictures from our day on the Ocean.

Britt's Prom 2007

Oh my gosh, Britt spent almost 2 hrs in the salon today getting her hair and make up done. NO I did not do it, she is way to picky and would make me cry.

She ended up looking so pretty. There are a few photos below.

Mike and Britt look great!!!

First Blog Ever...

Jenne's blog site is so cute so I thought I might try this too. Don't quite know what I'm doing but this will be fun figuring it out.

Man there are so many things happening for us. We are getting ready for a new adventure as Shannon would put it and we can't wait. We have family flying in next week for Britt's graduation then we hit the road to move to Oregon.

Harry got a new job for the state of Oregon as a "Regional Fire Training Coordinator" he will be traveling a bit so I'm hoping to be able to take the summer off to visit friends and family. We will only be about 6 hrs from Spokane or Boise.

We will miss Missouri for sure. We have made some great friends at chruch and Brittany and Kelcey are staying put. Britt has decided to stay here to go to school next fall at Northwest Missouri State. I am going to miss her so much, she is such a good girl and so fun to be around. We will miss Kelcey too but we are hoping that both the girls will fly out to visit when they can.
