Memories.

Posted by Picasa

My Lil Sister had this on her blog and I thought it would be fun to try it out as well. I put a picture of some of the best momories of my childhood on here. My aunt and uncle used to take Kelli and I up to the Teepee for weekends all summer long and sometimes for weeks at a time. I can't remember ever not having fun up there with them and their Newfies.

I know I don't have very many blogger friends but I have lots of memories of each of you.

1.As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Some of my most favorite memories are of you french braiding my hair, putting make-up on me and teaching me to shave my legs. I always looked up to you and would do anything for you. One of the things I remember the most is you would say - will you get me a drink of water with ice and stir it with a spoon? I always did it just becuase I adored you! You taught me so much more than you know. You always told me the things I should never do......and I didn't. I am so grateful that we could grew up together. I LOVE YOU!

The Teepee! Crazy! I swear people do not believe me when I say my Aunt and Uncle lived in a teepee! Hippies!
I remember you and Kelli came thru Boise and we all went to Sunset park. I was probably 12 or so. You asked me and I QUOTE....."Alli, where are your boobies?" Thanks Jill!

Hi Jill - I love the Newfoundland picture. And the teepee.... oh the teepee, what wonderful memories I have - Butterfly Island, always stopping at some little cafe for cherry pie on the way home, Uncle Bob digging holes around the teepee for trapping lizards... but those are memories of Bob and Jen.
Here are just a few I have of you:
1. You were visiting for the Holidays and I had the chicken pox. (I was probably 8 or so.) It was a baaaaad case of the pox, by the way. You walked in on me while I was trying to scratch a "hard to reach area."
"Hey JJ, are you going to the movies?" you asked.
"No," I replied.
"Then why are you picking your seat?" you said.
2. Another visit a few years later. I remember it was around the time that you had that great bi-level haircut. I'm not being sarcastic, btw. I loved that style. Do you remember what I'm talking about? It was short on one side, up and over your ear, then a bit longer w/ great spiral curls on the other. Oh I loved your hair. And amazingly that style grew out so nicely. Seriously, do you remember that? You've always had great hair. But I digress. This memory is not about your bangin' hair back then, but your make-up. You were in town and you, Megan, and myself were all crammed in our bathroom on Treasure Drive. You were complaining about our eye makeup choices (brown eyeliner, beige-ish shadow.) "Your makeup is supposed to enhance your features," you told us. "Not blend in w/ them." Not everyone can pull off turquoise eyeliner, Jill. :)
3. This will be my last one. One of my earliest memories of you. It was when you were living in the A-frame. We used to come for sleep-overs and play hide-and-seek outside after dark. Remember that? We used to play w/ a neighbor of yours, I think his name was Eric, and he was deaf. Do you remember him? Really nice boy (at least I'm assuming he was nice since he didn't talk a lot and we didnt' know any sign language.) Anyway, since it was dark while we were playing he couldn't hear us coming up on him so we'd have to stomp on the ground really loud to get his attention.
I don't know why I chose that to be my last memory of you... there are so many! Bubblegum chapstick, sitting on our giant beanbag eating super nachos from Taco John's... seriously, I have a mind like a steal trap. Ask me anything! :) Love you, Jill. Take care.
xoxo

sorry, one more thing. It should be "steel" trap, not "steal" trap. I didn't catch it in time. I hate it when I do that.
