We have a 1st Day of School too.

Today was Harry's very first day of College. He has a few credits from other courses, but has never been to "College". I am so proud of him for wanting to make more of his career. I know he can do this, and I know that he will be a GREAT SCHOOL BOY. hehe.

I wanted to take a pic of him with a back pack on and a lunch box but he did not think that was a great idea. I still vision it. So cute.

Sunday Drive

We went for a little drive today after church. We went north about 20 miles to
Billy Chinook Reservoir. It was really pretty, reminded me of Lucky Peak just out of Boise. Harry and I are spending less time together these days with our hrs at work so we have tried to just spend alone time on Sunday. I mean alone time as in no Computers, or TV to distract us paying attention to each other. I just can't express how happy we are here in this part of the country. I know Harry miss' Missouri and his family, I miss his Family too, but not Missouri. LOL sorry Harry. Here are some pics of the reservoir.

House Hunting.

If you looked on my blog a day ago you would have seen the house we made an offer on. Well the offer was not accepted, and I think we are almost relieved but still a little disappointed, but I think it's for the best. We are going to wait for a few more months to watch the market, and maybe get a better deal. The prices are really coming down in our area. A yr ago we would not have been able to even think about buying a house. I hope the house fairies are looking down on us.

I CAN be a Domestic Goddess.

My very first attempt at canning was a success. Except I am not very patient and could not wait to open the canner to see what happen in there. Harry had to read me the instructions several times so I could understand the timing and all that jazz. We did our peaches today, and I will do the nectarines tomorrow. It was fun and not as bad I thought it would be. Now I remind myself of my Grandma Smart. She made us eat all her canned fruit, hmmmmm but I don't remember really liking it that much. But I'm sure I will LOVE my own.

Why do they call it canning? The peaches are in jars..... ;o)

Look what we got...

What a fun Labor Day. Mt. Bachelor, and a new Tahoe. Woooooohoooooo

Day trip to Mt. Bachelor.

Harry and I took a drive up to Mt. Bachelor, it was such a pretty day, we were able to ride the chair lift to the top and the sites were so pretty. It was a little chilly, and some snow and ice on the ground, but it was worth it. I wish everyone we love could come see this with us.
